We've given our whole app a design refresh, making it easier for you to read and navigate through your collection. This also includes a simpler sidebar with collection site settings, and a trail of links (called "breadcrumbs") to indicate the location of the record within your collection.
With our cleaner look, you can speed up how you navigate through your records and better understand the hierarchy of your database.
You can now sort and filter on more plant material columns, including sorting on a few hidden columns, such as "last updated".
On desktop and tablet, you will notice a vertical ellipsis button to the right of a focused column header. Click this and you get direct access to filter (where available) and column sorting. To sort a hidden column, click the “Filters” button and select the “sort by” button. You will then have access to all sortable columns. On mobile, click the filter button.
Tip : By sorting your plant material by “last updated (newest first)”, you get a list of the plant materials that have been changed most recently.
In preparation for our exhibit at the 7th Global Botanic Garden Congress, we have launched a new and refreshed version of the Hortis.com website. Now you can learn more about Hortis, get pricing details, book appointments, request a trial, and more.
Three new filters have landed for your plant materials, allowing you to delve into your collection in more detail. Filter by material group (seed vs. plant), tag number or even by text within notes. This is complemented by our new-look feel for filters across all devices!
Unsure what billing plan you are currently on? With our new billing page in Settings, you can view how many standard seats and flexible days you have on your plan. Your renewal date is also listed.
You can now download your plant material data as a .CSV file by clicking the ellipsis button on the collections view. As with downloading accessions data, this works with searched and filtered results.
Our new-look drawer on mobiles and tablets allows you to sort numerically by accession or plant material number.
You can now keep track of material observation dates and specify the condition of your plants when adding new materials or editing existing ones. Select the condition of your material and set up follow-up periods to be alerted by overdue observations. If a plant is overdue an observation, Hortis will indicate a reminder on the icon.
If you are using GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) devices to determine your plant material locations, you may already have co-ordinate data at hand. You can now add these to your records, either when creating new materials or when editing existing unmapped materials.
