Simplified Accession Flow
The reimagined accession form is here—designed for seamless use on smartphones, desktops, and laptops. Its compact design focuses on key data, with quick access to additional sections, and lets you create accessions directly from the sidebar without leaving your current page. In our success story series, we are proud to have added two new articles. The latest article comes from Scott Sullivan at Indianapolis Zoo who, together with his team, has transformed the management of their 44,000 plants across 3,000 species by adopting Hortis earlier this year. Several of the gardens recently joining Hortis have been working to integrate fragmented legacy data from paper records and other formats, adding this information retrospectively.
To better support this process, we will soon introduce greater flexibility in how accession numbers are managed. This update will allow you to bypass automatic numbering while still maintaining consistency with your existing accession number format.
